BIOGRAPHY:
TURNER CORE is one of Seattle's finest rock bands. Fans of TURNER CORE have described their music as "intricate" and "upbeat," sounding like a new generation Pearl Jam and Metallica mix with a harmonious blissful twist.
The members of TURNER CORE plan on releasing their third record entitled The Decline of the Day in spring 2005 and following
up with a tour of the West Coast. This new record will be jammed packed with such crowd pleasers as "Two Worlds," "Weakspot,"
"Her Drug," and "OverRated" along with other TURNER CORE favorites.
TURNER CORE consists of lead vocalist/guitarist/producer Mark Guthrie, super-shredder guitarist/background vocalist
Cedar Compher, the well-respected bassist Tom Mitchell, and drumming extraordinaire Rich Hermsen III. Mark Guthrie has been
handling the guitar for over twelve years. He has studied music theory extensively in college, and he is now involved in
studying audio production. Cedar Compher, at eighteen years old, has conquered the world of guitar and is well known for his
skills in the Seattle area. Tom Mitchell, with over seven years experience on the bass guitar, has risen above and truly defined
what bass is suppose to be. Finally, Rich Hermsen III, known as "the animal" for his crazy intense stage presence, will leave
you breathless with his out-of-this-world drumming ability.
The future is bright for TURNER CORE. With two records already under their belt (Dimension © 2003, Graceland © 2004),
TURNER CORE plans on releasing their next record in spring of 2005. With this new release, TURNER CORE plans on implementing
a radio promotion plan, which will introduce the music of TURNER CORE to college radio stations across the entire West Coast.
TURNER CORE is also developing major publicity stunts such as online contests, a fan club, secret "fan-only" CD's, new
merchandise to the TURNER CORE store, many press releases, and many shows over the entire West Coast of America.
TURNER CORE plans on standing out among the abundance of bands as a superior band.
You will definitely want to keep your eyes on TURNER CORE. Be sure to check your local record stores for The Decline of the Day this Spring! Seattle's TURNER CORE will most certainly quench that thirst for raw die-hard post-grungish rock sound that
you've been longing for!
