BIOGRAPHY

Mark Guthrie spent his childhood living in Puyallup, WA. He began playing guitar at the young age of 8. At the age of 13, Mark moved to Clear Lake, located near Eatonville, WA. He met Tom Mitchell, and together they formed the band Phalanx. With no drummer, Mark and Tom played Metallica and Nirvana cover songs to entertain their friends and family. The duo wanted more, however. At the age of 15, Mark met up with the band Lifeline. This is where Mark was first introduced to Rich Hermsen III. Mark joined Lifeline, and Tom soon followed. They wrote songs such as "Experience the End" and "No Control." Lifeline soon came to an early end, however. They never even played a show (after Mark and Tom joined). Time flew by, and Mark was eager to start something new. He called up Rich Hermsen III, and the duo soon formed Turner Core. Mark was 18. Mark built a studio at his house in Eatonville, and the duo recorded tracks for TC's debut album Dimension. They then decided to call in Tom Mitchell to take up bass. Today, Mark writes the majority of the Turner Core catalog, produces all the Turner Core material, and manages the band.
